One frustrating thing about planning a wedding on the west coast: the fashion "scene"; or lack-thereof, to be exact. If you live in Montréal or TO, there is a trunk show or other runway event, pretty much every weekend. But on the opposite end of the country, not so much.. Still, there are a few visionaries who keep the excitement going..
..like for example Colleen Karas, from Bisou Bridal: she had her Spring sample-sale last week; now we've just received a press realease that she's teamed up with the gals from New Mahattan Catering and they're having a gala event next month: a combination fashion-show, bridal-luncheon, showcasing 2010 bridal fashion, New Manhattan's great menu and the Gizeh Centre's BrideSaver package at the same time. Press Release: A Taste of Manhattan Bridal show
Sip, Savour and Save with Style
This sophisticated fashion show includes a timely twist: ideas for making your dream wedding easy on the budget.
A Taste of Manhattan includes a sneak preview of Bisou Bridal's glamourous Spring 2010 collection, a delightful tasting of the award-winning New Manhattan's Designer Dinner menu, and an array of creative ideas for making your dream wedding affordable. What's more, you'll also have the chance to win fabulous prizes like an hors d'oeuvres package, a cake, and DJ services for your own reception.
At $25 for a chic fashion show, an elegant luncheon, and lots of creative wedding inspiration, a Taste of Manhattan offers great value. And because your hosts understand that you'll probably want to bring your fiancé, your mom, his mom, or your maid of honour, the price for two tickets is just $40.
Busy brides deserve this opportunity to spend a relaxing Sunday afternoon savouring wine and designer nibbles from Burnaby's best caterer, while runway models parade the latest bridal fashions, and a professional party DJ spins the tunes. The cash bar will donate all profits to Shriners' Children of BC, so you can feel especially good about treating yourself to a Taste of Manhattan.
